Responsibilities

 

Translate the use cases for the application storyboards and use cases into automated test cases and test suites.

Build and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable testing framework.

Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and security tests for the application.

Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems.

Desired Skills and Competencies

 

Proficient in Java and selenium, with a good knowledge of its ecosystems.

Proficient in Protractor or Cypress or any front end testing frameworks.

Proficient in unit testing using Junit or similar tools.

Knowledge of testing methodologies and conventions.

Familiarity with build tools such as Maven.

Familiarity with at least one CI/CD tools like Jenkins, TeamCity, Travis-CI etc.

Familiarity with concepts of JDBC.

Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.

Proficient in concurrency patterns in Java.

Implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests.

Good knowledge of any one RDBMS with a strong SQL knowledge.

Familiarity with creating database schemas.

Familiarity with Performance/ Load testing tools such as Jmeter.

Familiarity with Tomcat or JBoss or any app-server.

Familiarity with HTML5, Javascript and any Javascript library.

Should be well adaptable to pick up manual testing as and when required as a pre-cursor to the automation and getting familiar with the airline industry.

Huge plus to have prior knowledge of the airline reservations domain.
